About CCL

Every job we take on starts with someone deciding to trust us. That's not something we take lightly. So here's a bit more about who we are and how we work, so you can decide whether we're the right people for your project.  

We're a small, hands-on team based in Brighton & Hove. James is on site, not behind a desk — when you hire us, you're dealing directly with the person doing the work.

Being small is deliberate. It means we take on fewer projects and give each one proper attention, and it means the person who quoted your job is the person standing in your garden. It also means we're willing to take on the awkward ones — restricted access, difficult levels, sites other contractors have walked away from. A lot of our work comes from exactly those jobs. What we won't do is cut corners on the parts you can't see. It's the cheapest place to save money and the most expensive place to get it wrong.

Where we work

Based in Brighton & Hove, we work throughout Sussex — typically within about 40 miles of our base, covering Brighton, Hove, Lewes, Eastbourne and the surrounding area. 

For larger or specialist projects we're happy to travel further across the South East. If you're not sure whether you're in range, ask — the answer is usually yes.

Sam is our experienced concrete specialist, bringing precision and expertise to every groundwork and concreting project. Whether it’s foundations, driveways, slabs, or structural concrete, he understands the importance of getting the job right from the ground up. With a strong work ethic and a focus on durability and quality, he plays a key role in delivering long-lasting results for our clients.

Sam Boutle

With a passion for carpentry and an eye for detail, Will takes great pride in producing high-quality craftsmanship on every project. From structural timber work to bespoke outdoor features, he enjoys turning ideas into reality while ensuring every job is completed to the highest standard. His dedication, reliability, and commitment to quality make him a valued member of the Core Construction & Landscapes team.
